Diabetes is a complex disease and diabetes patients and costs are increasing dramatically. A Health Coach can provide nutritional and life-style information to lower A1c numbers, but it's difficult to convey complex information with voice-only calls. That's where ChoiceView comes in.

Use Case: Follow Doctor's Orders

(Click image to see an enlarged view.)

Many patients don't hear, remember or understand medical information well, especially when stressed, so they don't follow the doctor's orders. They don't take their medications as prescribed or do critical regimens such as surgical wound care or exercises after a heart attack. As a result, their health doesn't improve or worsens, sending them back to the doctor, to an ER, or worse.

Since healthcare providers are held accountable for patient outcomes, what can practitioners do to help patients follow doctor's orders? Follow-up tele-coaching, by phone or Internet, is a practical way to communicate on an ongoing basis. Healthcare providers can use ChoiceView 'Voice with Visuals' on calls with patients to both show and discuss the diagnosis, outcomes of procedures, results of tests, medications, and prescribed regimens. For example, most surgical patients recuperate at home, but must regularly care for the wound (e.g., ice it frequently), get out of bed and exercise, take medications, follow a diet, etc. Coaching by phone, on a regular basis, with clarifying visual information helps patients understand and follow-thorough for improvement and recovery. Healthcare follow-up with ChoiceView helps patients follow doctor's orders!

Radish in the News

Speech Technology Magazine's Summer 2016 article, Can Visual IVRs Shift Popular Opinion in Speech Tech's Favor, explains how the ChoiceView Visual IVR successfully integrates into traditional (voice-only) IVR systems. Like any advanced technology, adoption of 'voice with visuals' depends on many factors. However, today's callers expect easy-to-use and easy-to-understand communications, such as seeing while hearing information on a business call. Visual IVR technology can significantly increase callers' desire to do business with a company. Merely showing a visual directory can prevent a lot of caller frustration and encourage continuation of the call. Caller experiences are further enhanced when both seeing and hearing options, adding information into forms, making selections, obtaining customer support, and purchasing without ever leaving the call. A ChoiceView Visual IVR optimizes communications for both the caller and the company.

GM Voices created an outstanding podcast on ChoiceView Visual IVRs as part of their recent customer newsletter. Hear the GM Voices podcast.
